Description
Cristina Lunghi, an international expert in gender equality, Doctor in European law, Founder and president Arborus NGO - She is a member of the WWIRE Scientific Committee.
Her official activities also included a stint in the French government in 2006, where she created, in 2004, the Equality Label for the French Ministry of Equality, Nicole Ameline.
Since 2010, Cristina Lunghi, she runs the Arborus Fund which welcome and helps compagnies in the implementation of their Gender balance policy.
She created the GEEIS certification (Gender Equality European & International Standard) and entrusted Bureau veritas for the audit.
In March 2017, she launched the GEEIS-Diversity at the Economic Social & Environmental Council, in Paris, in order to integrate Diversity into a global strategy for equality : GEEIS-Diversity.
In September 2019, she launched, in New York, at the UN headquarter, under the high patronage of the Permanent Mission of France to the United Nations and the CEDAW Committee, the GEEIS-SDG trophy, to highlight the practices compagnies having GEEIS label and working to promote one or more of the SDGs. A way to show that equality is the lever to change the world.
In April 2020, despite the unprecedent Covid-19 health crisis, she launched in partnership with Orange group, under the patronage of the French Digital Secretary of State, Generation Equality - UNWomen, and the CEDAW-UN, the first International Charter for an Inclusive Artificial Intelligence which is the first step for the GEEIS-AI audit launched in Sept. 2020.
GEEIS is certified by Bureau Veritas in 41 countries.
She is the author of five books on the same topic. The last one was published by Ed L’Harmattan in Dec 2018 : “dernier « Plaidoyer pour l’égalité : année zéro».
She was named in the order of the “Legion d’Honneur “ for the July 14, 2021 promotion by the Prime Minister.
